The Current – a retail pop-up incubator located on Seaport Blvd – is rolling out its opening with two new local shops in September. Injeanius opened this past Saturday and Cupcake Mojo will open on September 19th.

Making jean shopping fun, easier and more approachable for women since 2005, this wildly popular Boston boutique brings its incredible array of premium jeans and tops to Seaport. Owner Alison Barnard O’Brien, an Inc. magazine “30 Under 30” and one of “Boston’s 25 Most Stylish” as named by The Boston Globe, set the local fashion industry on fire when she opened Injeanius in Boston’s North End fifteen years ago. She has since become the region’s authority for all things denim, guiding thousands of loyal customers and fans who continue to look to her and her Injeanius staff for style tips and the latest in jeans trends. O’Brien is now setting her sights on Seaport with the opening of Injeanius this month at The Current. Here she will offer some of her favorite jeans from sustainable denim companies such as Citizens of Humanity and AG jeans, as well as various tops, t-shirts, sweatshirts and casual items.
